Look, sometimes it’s like this: your iTunes will play incredible music that just perfectly reads your mood like magic. It’s like that mythical bartender that can give you the drink you’ve been looking for without you even knowing that you were looking for that drink.
On those days, my friend, embrace the Esau Mwamwaya, Coral, Zoe, Can, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco, Manu Chao, The...

There’s no use crying over spilled milk, unless you’re stranded in a desert and that milk was your only remaining liquid, but even then, the crying may further dehydrate you and the salty tears will find their way into your mouth and exacerbate your thirst, so, on balance, it still makes sense not to cry.

Sokka: Do you want me to be like you or totally honest?

I’m on the closer end to 30 than I am to 25 (omfg, I need to become a millionaire or cure cancer asap) and I’ve just discovered the awesomeness that is Avatar: The Last Airbender. You know what, though?...
Hope your day is going well. How are things different than they were 3 or 4 years ago?
Have you treated people well? Are you good to yourself? Are you honest and upfront?
Remember, there are many questions in love, but the question is never, “What am I getting out of this?”
You know you’ve found the one when all you ask is, “Am I making her happy?”
You’ve dumped many girls looking for her....

Truth1: I look into other people’s carts/baskets at the grocery checkout and silently judge them.

You
Happy Thanksgiving, Tumblr folks.
Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re with loved ones, with good food, and (most of all) I hope you’re smiling a whole heck of a lot.
I’m quite thankful for having met some of you, interacted with many of you, and admired and respected all of you.
I, too, will fight global warming. However, unlike my Captain Planet counterpart - that lame “heart” kid & his monkey - I will use a sword of righteousness & ninja stars.

And God said, “Let Us make living creatures out of mud, so the mud can see what We have done.” And God created every living creature that now moveth, and one was man. Mud as man alone could speak. God leaned close to mud as man sat, looked around, and spoke. “What is the purpose of all this?” he asked...

There was one of his lonelinesses coming, one of those times when he walked the streets or sat, aimless and depressed, biting a pencil at his desk. It was a self-absorption with no comfort, a demand for expression with no outlet, a sense of time rushing by, ceaselessly and wastefully—assuaged only by that conviction that there was nothing to waste, because all efforts and attainments were...

Please don’t misunderstand me. But do not try to understand me, if that means to know me in your way. This is not a language of surfaces to be staked and claimed.

What is so wonderful about speaking? If I speak, out loud, I have to say what I mean. I grasp after the right word. I reach for the end of my sentence. For every word I utter, a thousand more clamour in ...
