In theory I’m all for minimalism, but you know what? I’m not in college anymore and I’m of the belief that if you’re over 27, employed, and you can afford a bedframe and a headboard, then you should probably get one. If you can’t, then you probably need to reexamine a couple of things. Being a bohemian Kerouac-inspired poet is awesome when you’re 23. But come on. You hook up with the poet but you look for the guy who’s got his life together enough to count a bed frame, headboard, and furniture as givens.
Things you won’t find in my place: books stacked up on the floor. You know why? Because I own bookshelves.
(That said, the photo is pretty and the sheets look really comfortable.)
